Ingredients
πͺ 25 Oreos (cream separated from cookies)
π§ 1 cup cream cheese
π§ 1 cup butter
π₯ 5 large eggs
πΏ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
π₯ 1/2 cup milk
πΎ 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
π§ 1/2 teaspoon salt
βοΈ 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
π 2 1/2 cups white sugar
π₯€ 1/4 cup shortening
Instructions
1- Prepare Oreos:
- Separate the cream from the cookies of 25 Oreos. Keep the cream aside. Crush the Oreo cookies into small pieces and set them aside.
2- Cream Mixture:
- In a mixer, combine cream cheese, butter, and shortening until smooth.
- Gradually add sugar to the mix, and beat until the mixture turns white and pale.
3- Incorporate Eggs and Flavoring:
- Add the eggs one at a time while continuing to mix. Ensure each egg is fully absorbed before adding the next.
- Add vanilla extract.
4- Milk and Oreo Cream Preparation:
- In a separate bowl, mix the reserved Oreo cream with the milk until smooth.
5- Dry Ingredients:
- Sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
6- Combine:
- Gradually alternate between adding the milk mixture and the dry ingredients to the cream mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mix.
7- Fold in Oreos:
- Gently fold the crushed Oreo pieces into the batter.
8- Bake:
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 325Β°F (165Β°C) for about 1 hour and 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9- Finishing Touch:
- Once baked, let the cake cool for about 10 minutes. Optionally, add a glaze and additional Oreo pieces on top for decoration.
